![]() ![]() I'd say if you're into slots, visit Sandia! Maybe go else where for tables, and most certainly don't be discouraged from visiting based on this first-timer's experience at the casino. My only mark against the place was having to walk through the loud and smokey casino to get to the restaurant. ![]() Oh I should also mention the view from the bar is spectacular as well. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience at a casino despite it not appearing to be as upscale as some you see on TV. We Ubered to and from casino from downtown ABQ for about 18 each way. A variety of people play at Sandia including lots of senior citizens. Outside of what looked to be an impending domestic dispute between a young family leaving for he night, Sandia seemed nice, safe, and well lit. ![]() The staff was very friendly and helpful in answering my questions about how to get started, and they have a rewards program that gives you points for every dollar you spend at the casino. (Not knowing anything about gambling, I stuck to Blazing 7's LOL) I didn't see too many tables, but there are some. The casino is beautiful, has a bar and lounge with popular music videos playing on an incredibly-sized TV, a snack bar, a coffee bar, and rooms for non-smoking slots, premier penny slots, and high stakes slots. I don't really know much about them, but I will say that it seemed very upscale. So, upfront, this was my first time ever at a casino. ![]()
